Summary
Join a family-run precision engineering company looking for a warehouse operative to support our workshop, manage goods-in, and keep stock.
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative specialising in Goods In to join our shop floor team. This role involves managing incoming stock, ensuring accurate recording and storage, and supporting the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will have relevant warehouse experience, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with warehouse management systems. This position offers a vital contribution to maintaining smooth supply chain processes and requires a proactive and organised individual committed to safety and quality standards.
Duties
We are looking for a diligent and process driven individual.
Manually handling raw material and components in a goods-in shop floor environment.
Work with computer system to track booking in and stock keeping of goods.
Transport work / materials to machines throughout the shop floor.
Working within an AS9100 system conforming to quality and security standards.
Working with inspection equipment, using digital callipers, and ensuring material conformity.
Maintaining health and safety protocol.

Essential requirements
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable. Proficiency in operating forklift trucks is desired, valid certification is preferred, but we can offer training in this area to the right candidate Familiarity with an ERP / CRM is desired, IT literacy, computer skills and ability to use spreadsheets. Knowledge of raw material specifications and grades, desired but not essential. Experience with raw material processing, horizontal/vertical saw desirable. Knowledge of materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting procedures safely. Experience with stock control, picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes is beneficial.
