The Role

We are looking for an Italian-speaking PR & Media Assistant to join a specialist PR team in Central London. You will help secure media coverage across leading Italian and UK publications, build relationships with journalists, and write compelling media pitches and press releases in both Italian and English. Fluency in written Italian is essential. Previous PR experience is advantageous but not essential — we are looking for the right attitude above all else.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Building relationships with journalists across leading Italian and UK national, regional and industry publications

Writing engaging and newsworthy media pitches and press releases in Italian and English

Securing media coverage through proactive PR and digital campaigns

Monitoring Italian, UK and international news to identify relevant media opportunities

Translating and adapting campaign content between Italian and English

Researching and creating targeted media lists for outreach campaigns

Identifying reactive PR and newsjacking opportunities across both markets

Monitoring social media trends to support creative campaign ideas

Contributing ideas during campaign brainstorming sessions

Tracking media coverage and reporting on campaign performance

Here are the skills you’ll need:

Excellent Italian reading and writing skills — essential

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Strong writing, editing and proofreading abilities in both Italian and English

A genuine interest in Italian and UK news, media and current affairs

Creative thinking and the ability to identify interesting stories

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Confidence communicating with journalists and building professional relationships

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Previous experience in PR, digital marketing or journalism is beneficial but not essential

Ability to commute to the London office three days per week

Work Permissions
