Summary

Bid Manager - Tier 1 Main Contractor

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor, managing tenders for major construction projects across a diverse portfolio.

You will lead the bid process from initial opportunity through to final submission, working closely with pre-construction, estimating, commercial and operational teams to deliver high-quality, competitive tenders.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full tender process, including PQQs, SQs and ITTs.

Develop bid strategies and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Produce compelling, client-focused tender submissions.

Work closely with estimating and pre-construction teams.

Manage tender programmes, deadlines and submission requirements.

Lead bid reviews, client presentations and post-tender interviews.

Requirements

Proven Bid Manager experience with a Tier 1 main contractor or major construction business.

Strong understanding of construction tendering and procurement.

Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines.
