Summary
Main duties of the job The Decontamination Department is responsible for the provision of decontamination and sterilisation services to surgical theatres, endoscopy, out patient departments and wards/units of the Trust, together with GP's and other community users. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across 7 days across 24hours including Weekend and bank holiday. The successful candidates will be required to work in all areas of the department. The successful candidates will be responsible for Cleaning and decontamination of surgical instrumentations and Endoscopes associated equipment used for several specialties. Monitoring and validation of equipment used in the decontamination process. Will involve handling bodily fluids and requires the wearing of personal protective equipment. quality assurance, tracking and tracing, loan set processing, and stocking taking and ordering.
