Here's what you'll be doing:

Reconcile daily transactions and flag discrepancies before they become problems

Build and maintain spreadsheet models that track cash flow and revenue forecasts

Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and supporting schedules

Pull together reporting packs for leadership, turning raw numbers into something readable

Assist with budget tracking across departments and chase down variances

Help refine internal finance processes as the company scales

Here are the skills you'll need:

A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong Excel skills. Formulas, pivot tables, basic modelling

Comfortable with numbers and genuinely curious about what they mean

Good written communication. You'll be explaining figures to non-finance people often

Organised enough to manage deadlines without someone chasing you

Willing to pick things up fast and ask questions when something doesn't add up
