Summary
An exceptional opportunity for a junior Graduate Developer to shape the future of Technology in London.
Established software teams in London are increasingly built around graduates who can learn fast and think clearly, not just those who can recite a syllabus. This growing SME builds technology products used by real customers, and it needs a Graduate Developer who wants proper mentorship alongside proper responsibility. It's a sector where the gap between junior and senior closes quickly, if you're in the right environment.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Writing and testing code across the stack under the guidance of senior developers
Fixing bugs and working through tickets in a live production environment
Sitting in on code reviews, and learning to give as well as receive feedback
Helping build new features from a technical spec through to deployment
Documenting your work clearly enough that someone else could pick it up
Getting involved in sprint planning and daily stand-ups as a full member of the team
Here are the skills you'll need:
A computer science degree, bootcamp certificate, or equivalent self-taught experience
Working knowledge of at least one modern programming language (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
An understanding of version control, ideally Git
Curiosity. You should want to know why something broke, not just that it did
Comfort asking questions. Nobody expects a Graduate Developer to know everything on day one
Solid written communication, since a lot of development work happens in tickets and pull requests
Key perks and benefits:
£26,500 to £36,500, depending on experience
Hybrid working, with real flexibility around where and how you work
Private medical insurance and pension contributions
Structured professional development, with clear routes for progression beyond Graduate Developer
Generous annual leave and a genuinely balanced approach to work-life integration
Why pursue a career in Technology?
Technology remains one of the few sectors where a Graduate Developer can go from writing their first production code to leading features within a few years. London gives you density: more companies, more meetups, more people to learn from than almost anywhere else in the UK. Good developers are still hard to find, and that scarcity tends to reward people who show up, ask good questions, and keep improving.
