Summary
Ambitious Pharma Business Manager wanted to drive real impact in Healthcare from Liverpool.
The UK pharmaceutical sector is under pressure to deliver more with tighter margins and closer regulatory scrutiny, and that's exactly where a sharp Pharma Business Manager earns their keep. This established, growing SME operates across the healthcare supply chain, working with NHS trusts, independent pharmacies and manufacturers who need commercial decisions made quickly and correctly. Liverpool sits at the heart of that network, and this role puts you right in the middle of it.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Managing a portfolio of pharma and healthcare accounts, from contract renewal through to day-to-day relationship management
Identifying new business opportunities across the Liverpool region and wider North West healthcare market
Negotiating pricing, supply terms and service agreements with pharmacy groups and healthcare providers
Tracking sales performance against targets and adjusting your approach when the numbers say you should
Working closely with marketing and regulatory teams to keep product positioning compliant and commercially sharp
Reporting on pipeline, forecasts and market trends to senior leadership on a regular cycle
Here are the skills you'll need:
Solid commercial experience within pharma, healthcare or a closely related regulated sector
A proven track record of managing accounts and hitting revenue targets, not just chasing them
Confident negotiator who can hold their ground without burning relationships
Working knowledge of healthcare procurement processes and NHS commissioning structures is a strong advantage
Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and translating data into a clear commercial story
Organised enough to run multiple accounts at once without dropping the important ones
Key perks and benefits:
£40,500 to £62,500 depending on experience, plus bonus scheme
Hybrid working, with time split between the Liverpool office and home
Private medical insurance and pension contribution
Generous annual leave with genuine flexibility around how you use it
Structured progression path within a company that's actively growing, not standing still
Why pursue a career in Healthcare?
Healthcare doesn't slow down when the economy does. Demand keeps growing, funding models keep evolving, and businesses need people who understand both the science and the commercial reality behind it. Liverpool has quietly built itself into one of the UK's strongest healthcare and life sciences hubs, which makes it a smart place to build a career rather than just start one.
