Summary
Step into this Product Data Scientist role and build something that matters in AI & Technology.
Data is the raw material of every AI product decision now, and the businesses that win are the ones who can turn usage patterns into direction. This is an established name in AI & Technology, the kind of organisation with real scale behind it and large-scale projects that actually ship. They're hiring a Product Data Scientist in Reading to sit close to the product, not off in a reporting function somewhere.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Analyse product usage data to identify what's working, what's not, and what to build next
Design and run A/B tests, then translate the results into recommendations product teams actually act on
Build and maintain dashboards and models that track key product metrics over time
Partner with product managers and engineers to shape the roadmap using evidence, not guesswork
Write clear, honest analysis for stakeholders who don't have a stats background
Spot patterns in customer behaviour that point to new opportunities within AI & Technology
Here are the skills you'll need:
Solid experience with SQL and Python, and a comfortable grasp of statistical methods
A track record of working directly with product teams, ideally within a tech or AI-driven environment
Experience designing experiments and interpreting results without overstating them
The ability to explain a complicated finding in one clear sentence
Comfort working within established frameworks and processes rather than building everything from scratch
Curiosity. The best Product Data Scientists ask better questions before they open a notebook
Key perks and benefits:
£48,500 to £65,000, depending on experience
Hybrid working, based out of Reading
Private medical and dental insurance
Enhanced pension scheme and performance-based bonuses
A comprehensive benefits package with structured career development built in
Why pursue a career in AI & Technology?
AI & Technology isn't slowing down, and neither is the demand for people who can make sense of the data behind it. Reading has quietly become one of the stronger tech hubs outside London, with serious employers and serious infrastructure to match. A Product Data Scientist who builds a track record here has options for years to come, in Reading and well beyond it.
