Help shape our future as a nursing home

Location: Shenstone, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, DY10 4DH

Salary: £42,000 per annum-negotiable depending on experience, skills and talent

Employer: Golden Nest Care homes Limited

Sponsorship: Available for eligible candidates, subject to applicable visa and sponsorship requirements

Are you an enthusiastic nursing or healthcare professional ready to take the next step into leadership?

Shenstone House is a 25-bed care home rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). As we work towards becoming a nursing home, we are looking for a motivated, compassionate and capable Registered Manager to lead our team and help shape the home’s next chapter.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference: building on our existing standards, developing our team and helping create a nursing service centred on residents’ needs, dignity and wellbeing.

You do not need to have held a Registered Manager position before. We welcome applications from nurses, deputy managers, clinical leads and other healthcare professionals who can demonstrate sound judgement, relevant knowledge and the ability to lead a safe, high-quality service.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a nursing or healthcare background, with relevant qualifications and practical experience.

• Is enthusiastic, proactive and ready to take responsibility.

• Can lead by example, support colleagues and build a positive team culture.

• Understands safeguarding, person-centred care, risk management and quality assurance.

• Has a good working knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory responsibilities.

• Communicates confidently with residents, families, staff and healthcare professionals.

• Can demonstrate the qualifications, competence, skills and experience needed to secure CQC registration as the home’s manager.

A nursing qualification with current NMC registration would be a strong advantage. A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or a relevant equivalent, is desirable.

We value ability, commitment and leadership potential alongside experience.

Your role

Working with the provider, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day running of Shenstone House, putting residents’ safety and wellbeing first.

• Help plan and deliver the transition to nursing care, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

• Maintain and improve care standards in line with CQC requirements.

• Recruit, motivate, supervise and develop the care and nursing teams.

• Ensure effective safeguarding, care planning, medication systems and quality monitoring.

• Establish robust governance arrangements for the developing nursing service.

• Build trusting relationships with residents, relatives and visiting professionals.

• Manage staffing, budgets and resources responsibly.

• Create a welcoming environment where residents feel valued and staff take pride in their work.

What we offer

• £42,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience, skills and talent.

• Sponsorship for eligible candidates, subject to applicable requirements.

• Consideration for capable candidates stepping into their first Registered Manager role.

• The opportunity to help shape the development of a 25-bed home into a nursing service.

• A leadership role where your ideas, initiative and contribution can make a visible difference.

Interested?

Please send your CV to provider@gncarehomes.org in the first instance. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to discuss the opportunity further.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, an appropriate enhanced DBS check, right-to-work checks and successful CQC registration.

We welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates of all ages and backgrounds.
