Salary: Competitive basic annual bonus

Are you considering a move out of the classroom but still want to make a meaningful difference in education?

We’re looking for an account manager to join our Abingdon branch while a colleague is on maternity leave.

At Class Act, we understand that many talented education professionals are looking for a new challenge that allows them to use their skills, experience, and knowledge of schools in a different way. As a Recruitment Account Manager, you'll remain at the heart of education while building a rewarding career with excellent progression opportunities.

Why This Role Could Be Right for You

Your experience working in education has equipped you with valuable skills that transfer naturally into recruitment. You already understand the challenges schools face, know what makes a great educator, and are skilled at building relationships, solving problems, and managing competing priorities.

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Stay connected to schools and the education sector
  • Support teachers and support staff in finding the right opportunities
  • Help schools secure the talent they need to succeed
  • Build long-term professional relationships
  • Enjoy a varied, fast-paced career with clear progression routes
  • Benefit from flexible working options and shorter hours during school holidays

The Role

As a Recruitment Account Manager, you'll manage an education recruitment desk, working closely with schools and education professionals to coordinate staffing solutions across daily supply, long-term, and permanent positions.

You'll build trusted partnerships with schools, support candidates throughout their career journey, and play a key role in ensuring pupils have access to high-quality education professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of school partnerships
  • Building strong relationships with teachers, support staff, and school leaders
  • Coordinating daily, short-term, long-term, and permanent placements
  • Identifying and attracting high-quality education professionals
  • Managing interviews, feedback, and job offers
  • Supporting schools with their recruitment needs
  • Developing new business opportunities and expanding existing partnerships
  • Delivering exceptional service to both schools and candidates

Who We're Looking For

This opportunity is ideal for:

  • Teachers looking for a career beyond the classroom
  • Education professionals seeking a new challenge while remaining within the sector
  • School administrators, support staff, or education leaders interested in a relationship-focused commercial role
  • Individuals with strong communication, organisation, and people skills

You'll be:

  • Confident and relationship-focused
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Resilient and solutions-driven
  • Commercially aware and motivated by achieving results
  • Passionate about supporting schools and education professionals

What You'll Receive

  • Salary of £27,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
  • Annual bonus opportunity
  • Established school partnerships and opportunities to grow your own client base
  • Work-from-home options during school holidays
  • Shorter working days during school holiday periods
  • Paid charity day and healthcare plan
  • Annual company awards and recognition events
  • Ongoing training, mentoring, and leadership development
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture

Working Hours

Term Time: 7:00am – 5:00pm

School Holidays: 8:30am – 3:30pm with the option to work from home

If you're ready for a new challenge that allows you to use your education experience in a different way while continuing to make a positive impact on schools and teachers, we'd love to hear from you.
