Summary

Service Designer - Product, Design Systems, Figma, UX, AI, Insurance

Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35)

Manchester - Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)

My client is urgently looking to hire a Service Designer with expertise in Figma, Product, Design Systems, UX and experience of working in heavily regulated, large, complex organisations (preferably Insurance / Financial Services / Healthcare). Working knowledge of AI would be a huge plus.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Service Designer within the Product space, with expertise in Design Systems

Previous experience in heavily regulated, large, complex organisations (preferably Insurance / Financial Services / Healthcare)

Expertise in Figma (ability to build and maintain reusable UI components in Figma, understanding of code connectors, component-based design, build and test prototypes and ensure all code bases and design work together)

Strong UX skills

Ability to map end-to-end journeys as well as map out solutions to gaps in service

Ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions through appropriate workshop frameworks, including problem-framing, journey mapping and process mapping, bringing evidence of customer journey maps and service blueprints

Ability to drive coherence, accessibility and scalability, ensuring designs are accessible and responsive

Work closely with Product Designers and Engineers, bridging the gap between Engineering and Design whilst testing and validating component behaviour

Customer focused mindset

Capability to provide support documentation and governance

Experience of gathering feedback and improving the design system over time

Excellent communication skills, with ability to confidently converse with technical and non-technical audiences

Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)

Flexible approach towards hybrid working

Nice to have:

Immediate availability

Demonstrable experience with AI tooling

Experience with Zeroheight (or similar documentation tools)

Understanding of Front-End Development principles (HTML / CSS / Javascript)
