Summary

This role will focus on building, optimising and embedding trusted Power BI semantic models, dashboards and analytics solutions that enable consistent, evidence based decision making across the function.

Working with the People Analytics Manager and team, the role will take accountability for specific analytics deliverables, including designing data quality frameworks with the team, semantic model optimisation and end to end project delivery. The role will partner closely with the Performance & Governance and wider People teams to ensure shared data assets are trusted, reusable and well documented. Additionally, the role will deliver agreed analytics projects which provide clear business value.

Responsibilities

· Take shared ownership of People Analytics Power BI semantic models as trusted, single source of truth assets, including measures, definitions, refresh processes and supporting documentation.

· Develop Modern BI Solutions: Build and enhance Power BI reports, dataflows and data models that provide actionable insights and support informed decision making.

· Data Integration Workarounds: In a complex environment with some system constraints, apply creative thinking to manage manual data extracts, versioning and governance via a centralised repository.

· Apply controlled change practices to ensure updates are implemented safely, are well communicated and do not break downstream reporting.

· Insightful Storytelling: Translate complex datasets into simple, compelling narratives that resonate with a variety of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

· Collaborative Delivery: Work with colleagues across P&O and the wider business to understand their needs and co-create solutions.

· Work on the delivery of prioritised People Analytics projects from the governed workstack supported by the People Analytics Manager. Including problem definition, requirements, data modelling, reporting outputs and insight narrative ensuring projects deliver value for the business.

· Maintain best practices: Create clear documentation and support reporting governance to ensure transparency, continuity and quality across all outputs.

· Data Protection & Governance: Ensure that all handling of personal and sensitive data aligns with internal data protection policies and legal obligations (e.g. GDPR) maintaining secure process and upholding good data governance practices.

- Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving

- Experience working with large or varied datasets, including manual system extracts from multiple sources.
