Summary

Catering Assistant based at Richard Huish College

Huish Education Services are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join the team based at Richard Huish College to provide a high-quality service to students and staff. Experience of high standards within a food service environment in a commercial or similar environment, excellent customer service skills and an ability to work flexibly are all essential for this role.This role would include• Preparing and serving food and beverages • Operating the till and adhering to cash handling procedures• Always providing excellent customer service to students and staff.• Completion of logs for allergens, temperature, food prep, food transportation, cleaning and wastage• Ensuring the service areas are clean and tidy,• Ensuring health and safety regulations and the company food hygiene procedures are always adhered to.Role Details• Hours of work: 08:30 to 14:30 Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, term time only 38.8 weeks per year• Hourly Rate: £12.71• Actual Salary: £16,929 PA• Start date: ASAP• Closing date: 2nd November 2026 (early application is encouraged as interviews may take place as applications are received)• Interview date: W/C 9th November 2026Huish Education Services reserves the right to appoint or withdraw this advert before the deadline, if necessary.Huish Education Services is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
