Kitchen Assistants to join friendly school catering teams within the
Exeter area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help provide healthy, nutritious meals to pupils in a safe and welcoming school environment. Working as part of a dedicated catering team, you will support food preparation and meal service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and customer service.

Key Duties / Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of food and ingredients.
- Serve meals to pupils, staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Set up and clear dining areas before and after meal service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively following training.
- Wash kitchen utensils, crockery and equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
- Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Assist with stock rotation and the storage of food deliveries.

Essential Requirements
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
- Have a positive and flexible approach to work.
- Have good communication and customer service skills.
- Be reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Understand the importance of safeguarding children.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous catering or kitchen experience.
