Summary
Are you an experienced Occupational Health Nurse looking for your next opportunity?
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our supportive and experienced Occupational Health Service. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver a wide range of occupational health services, supporting the health, wellbeing and attendance of employees across NHS organisations and external clients.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based occupational health advice, undertake fitness for work assessments, health screening and health surveillance activities, and contribute to the ongoing development of a high-quality, customer-focused service.
This is a hybrid role, with opportunities to work across our clinic locations in Bristol and Weston, as well as at external client sites when required.
The postholder will:
• Deliver high quality, evidence based occupational health services, ensuring compliance with NHS and legislative standards.
• Provide clinical advice and management, including fitness for work assessments, health screening and health surveillance both for NHS partners and external customers.
• Nurse lead for smaller contracts and/or assist senior occupational health nurses to lead larger contracts, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a primary point of contact for matters related to health at work and representing the service at meetings as required.
• Support and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development and evidence-based practice.
Bristol NHS Foundation Trust brings together more than 28,000 staff to deliver over 160 clinical services across thirteen hospital locations, operating from three main sites at Southmead, Bristol city centre and Weston.
With an annual turnover of £2.3 billion, we are now one of the largest NHS trusts in the United Kingdom. Our hospitals are spread across Bristol and Weston, join us and you can enjoy the very best of both worlds; city living within a stone’s throw of the countryside or beside the seaside, both with easy access to all that the South West has to offer.
Bristol NHS Foundation Trust values all people as individuals. As an equal opportunities employer actively working towards a diverse workforce we aim to recruit and retain a workforce which represents the rich diversity of the local population at all levels and are committed to designing our services around the needs of individual patients and those around them.
