The Role

• Managing access to and from a busy 7.5-acre commercial site, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, visitors and personnel.

• Acting as the first point of contact for customers, suppliers and visiting drivers, providing a professional and welcoming service.

• Monitoring site security and carrying out regular patrols to maintain a safe and secure working environment.

• Managing fuel transactions and maintaining accurate records.

• Liaising with transport and delivery drivers, handling documentation and distributing essential paperwork.

• Supporting the smooth running of daily site operations across a busy transport, warehousing and commercial vehicle facility.

• Completing basic administrative duties, including emails, record-keeping and general paperwork.

• Responding calmly and professionally to any issues that arise during a shift.

What They're Looking For

• Previous experience in security, policing, gatehouse operations, transport or a similar responsible position would be advantageous.

• Applications from former Police Officers and individuals with experience in disciplined, public-facing roles are particularly welcome.

• A confident, friendly communicator who enjoys dealing with people from all walks of life.

• A trustworthy, dependable individual with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent attention to detail.

• Good numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to handle transactions and paperwork accurately.

• Basic IT skills, including email and general administrative tasks.

• A good level of physical fitness and the ability to carry out site patrols and other active duties.

• A practical, flexible approach and willingness to get involved in a variety of tasks.

• Must live within easy commuting distance of Lydden, near Dover.

• Available for an immediate start or able to commence employment at short notice.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

• Average of four 12-hour shifts over a rolling eight-day period.

• Established shift rota, which may include weekend working.

• Predictable working pattern, with changes generally limited to holiday or sickness cover.

• Additional earning opportunities through Bank Holiday working and cover shifts.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive starting salary of approximately £28,000 per annum.

• Time-and-a-half payments for Bank Holidays and additional holiday or sickness cover.
