Are you an experienced Nurse Hysteroscopist looking for an opportunity to lead and develop high-quality, patient-centred care?  We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and autonomous practitioner to join our supportive Gynaecology Outpatients team within Women’s Health.

In this challenging and rewarding Band 7 role, you will provide a safe, effective and evidence-based nurse-led hysteroscopy service. You will independently assess patients and undertake diagnostic and therapeutic outpatient hysteroscopy clinics within your agreed scope of practice, professional standards and local and national guidance.

You will use advanced clinical reasoning and decision-making skills to assess patients, perform hysteroscopy procedures, interpret findings and investigation results, and develop appropriate management and follow-up plans. The role includes providing clear information and counselling, obtaining informed consent, communicating sensitive results and ensuring patients receive appropriate support, safety-netting and onward referral.

Interview Date:  W/C 1 December 2026

As a senior member of the team, you will provide visible clinical leadership and work closely with consultant, nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues. You will support the development of junior staff and learners and contribute to clinical governance, risk management, audit, patient feedback, quality improvement, guideline development and service development within the hysteroscopy service.

At MKUH, you will be supported to maintain your advanced clinical skills, continuing competence and professional development while helping us improve outcomes and experiences for patients using our service.

You must be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and hold a nationally recognised British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy Nurse Hysteroscopy qualification. You will have significant post-registration experience in gynaecology and nurse-led services, with evidence of autonomous practice as a qualified Nurse Hysteroscopist. A teaching, mentoring, Practice Assessor or Practice Supervisor qualification is essential. Completion of an accredited diagnostic hysteroscopy and therapeutic management programme is desirable.

• Autonomously assess patients and undertake nurse-led diagnostic and therapeutic outpatient hysteroscopy clinics within agreed scope of practice, professional standards and local/national guidance.
