We are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at our centrally located Perth Head Office. Reporting to the Health, Safety & Risk Manager, you will support the delivery and continuous improvement of our Health & Safety Management System, working closely with operational teams across a range of contracts throughout Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional looking to broaden their experience in a varied operational environment while developing their career within a supportive organisation. We actively encourage continuous learning and support relevant professional qualifications and development.

You’ll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, providing practical advice and guidance, supporting compliance with legal and industry requirements, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining and developing the Health & Safety Legal and Other Requirements Register.

Supporting the ongoing development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s integrated Health & Safety Management System.

Conducting internal audits, compliance reviews and inspections to ensure best practice and legal compliance.

Providing professional Health & Safety advice and guidance to managers, employees, clients and supply chain partners.

Leading and supporting incident reporting, investigations and the identification of corrective actions.

Preparing and presenting Health & Safety reports, statistics, performance data and award submissions.

Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and internal Health & Safety training programmes.

Coordinating Health, Safety & Environment Committee activities and representing Health & Safety interests within joint ventures and industry groups.

Liaising with regulatory bodies, external stakeholders and certification providers.

Undertaking regular site and depot visits across our contracts to monitor compliance and support operational teams.

Reviewing and developing Health & Safety documentation, procedures and management system updates.

Working collaboratively with supply chain partners and service providers to promote continuous improvement and best practice.

Supporting Health & Safety Management Reviews through the provision of performance data and recommendations.
