Are you passionate about great customer service and enjoy working as part of a friendly team? We're looking for a Part-Time Catering Assistant to join our team in Edinburgh'sOld Town, helping create a welcoming dining experience for ourcustomers.
You'll support theRestaurant Supervisor with food preparation, presentation and service, ensuringhigh standards are maintained and all company procedures and contractrequirements are followed. If you're reliable, enthusiastic and enjoy workingin a busy catering environment, we'd love to hear from you!
What you'll do:
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness, following company, client and legal requirements.
- Assist with food preparation, presentation and service, ensuring dietary requirements and allergen procedures are followed.
- Serve food and beverages, including barista-made coffees, while delivering friendly and professional customer service.
- Set up service areas, replenish stock, clear tables and clean catering areas to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Support daily operations, including till duties, cash handling, stock checks and special functions as required.
- Work closely with colleagues, complete required training and follow company policies and procedures.
What you bring:
- A friendly, professional approach with strong communication and customer service skills.
- Previous food handling experience, ideally within catering, hospitality or food service.
- An understanding of health and safety procedures and the importance of maintaining high standards.
- Good personal hygiene, a professional appearance and attention to detail.
- A basic food hygiene certificate or experience working in a standards-driven environment would be an advantage.
