Summary
Mechanical Fitter: Day Shift | Walsall | £14.00 per hour
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Walsall, working day shifts.
Role Overview
• Fit, assemble, maintain and repair mechanical equipment and machinery
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond promptly to breakdowns
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions accurately
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues efficiently and safely
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure work areas are left tidy
• Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and procedures at all times
Candidate Profile
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter
• Competent in using hand tools with the ability to work to precise tolerances
• Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not essential with demonstrable experience
• Reliable with strong timekeeping and a professional attitude
