We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Purchasing Administrator to join our Supply Chain team in Milton Keynes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing, procurement, or supply chain administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple business functions.
The Role
As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting procurement activities across our UK operations. You will be responsible for supplier administration, vendor management, purchase order processing, supplier compliance, contract administration, and maintaining procurement records. Working closely with internal departments and external suppliers, you will help ensure efficient purchasing processes and support the wider Supply Chain strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and issue purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Support purchasing requirements across multiple UK sites.
- Monitor open purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
- Investigate and resolve invoice and receipt discrepancies.
- Manage supplier onboarding and vendor records within SAP.
- Maintain supplier documentation, compliance records, and audit trails.
- Coordinate supplier revalidation and compliance activities.
- Manage contract databases and blanket purchase orders.
- Support procurement reporting, spend analysis, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Act as a key contact for supplier and purchasing queries.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Quality, HR, Facilities, and IT teams.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential
- Previous experience within Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain.
- Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Desirable
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of supplier compliance and contract administration.
- Experience supporting sourcing and supplier selection activities.
- Understanding of procurement governance and supplier management processes.
If you have a passion for procurement administration and are looking to build your career with an established and growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
