Summary
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of mainstream secondary schools based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a Geography Teacher. The school provides education to secondary-aged students, with Geography teaching focused on developing geographical knowledge, environmental awareness and an understanding of global issues.
The schools are looking to take on an enthusiastic Geography Teacher for day-to-day or long-term opportunities, with an immediate start available. The successful Geography Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging Geography lessons, supporting students with GCSE and A Level exam preparation, and helping learners develop their geographical enquiry, data interpretation and examination skills.
The successful Geography Teacher will have:
•
Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with a Geography specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
•
Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting
•
Strong knowledge of the GCSE and A Level Geography curriculum
•
Experience supporting students with examination preparation and targeted interventions
•
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
•
A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
