Summary

Job Summary: To use advanced assessment, diagnosis and plan treatment for respiratory patients in predominately outpatient settings, who are expected to have highly complex presentations in both acute and chronic disease. The post hold will be required to determine clinical diagnosis and plan treatment indicated, working as an autonomous practitioner whilst ensuring the accurate records are maintained. Provide specialist respiratory physiotherapy input to patients within department. To take a role in supervision and teaching of students, and members of the wider MDT. To provide skilled team leadership and be responsible for operational management, team development, implementation of policy and policy changes in own clinical area and to set and monitor standards of practice. To input into commissioning of new services as required To supervise, initiate and participate in evidence-based projects, including recommendations for change in practice and to lead in departmental audit in the clinical area. To report into national audits relevant to clinical area To report regularly to stakeholders on service KPIs
