Summary

Vacancy Location: Tan Yr Allt House, 14 Alltwen Hill, Pontardawe, SA8 3AB

Shifts: 38 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis)

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour

Sponsorship: This service does not provide support for visa sponsorship

Based at Tan Yr Allt House, in Pontardawe, we provide nursing care for 16 adults over the age of 18. We offer a place called home for people with a range of complex specialist mental health needs.

As our Chef, you will play a vital role in the heart of the home- the kitchen.

You’ll prepare fresh, nutritious, home-cooked meals tailored to individual needs and preferences, consulting with colleagues to plan varied menus that meet dietary requirements, including guidance from SALT and other professionals.

This role offers:

• 10- hour shifts between 8am and 6pm

• 3 days per week (28.5 hours per week, 30 minute break)

• Alternative weekends working

• Autonomy to suggest and lead themed food events and special celebration days

• The opportunity to create and manage an annual events calendar

What You Will Do

• Create and serve delicious, home-style meals designed around individual tastes and wellbeing needs

• Lead and support kitchen colleagues to maintain high standards

• Ensure all food hygiene, Health & Safety and relevant regulations are met
