As a Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, creating a welcoming environment and helping people access the facilities and services they need. Through excellent customer care and professional support, you'll play an important role in delivering a positive impact on communities and helping more people enjoy active, healthy lifestyles.

What you’ll do as a Receptionist

- Provide excellent customer service face to face and over the telephone

- Manage reception duties, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

- Process new memberships and manage new member enquiries

- Promote health and fitness services and swimming lessons, and membership upgrades

- Handle cash transactions and follow financial procedures accurately

- Support colleagues across the team when required

- Maintain a safe and compliant environment in line with policies and procedures

- Build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders to deliver consistent service excellence

Does this sound like you?

- Experience delivering strong customer service in a customer-facing environment

- Confidence handling cash and maintaining accurate records

- Confident in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new software quickly.

- The ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve customer queries effectively

- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive approach

- A flexible mindset, able to adapt to different situations and support the wider team

Vetting and checks:

A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
