Summary

Machine Operative (Temp to Perm) - Andover - £14.50 to £15.00 per hour

We're recruiting for an experienced

Machine Operative to join a busy engineering/manufacturing site in

Andover on a

temp-to-perm basis. This is a great opportunity to secure a long-term role.

Shift times:

Monday - Thursday 8-5

Friday 8-2:30

Pay:

£14.50 to £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

The Role:

As a Machine Operative, you'll be responsible for drilling holes into metal parts, primarily for the automotive sector.

Key responsibilities:

Set and operate deep hole drilling machines

Read and work from engineering drawings

Select required drill head and speed to perform the task efficiently and drill holes in components to the required size and depth

Prepare and secure workpieces to avoid misalignment

Maintain documentation including inspection records, scrap/rework reports and traceability

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Warehouse/Production/Machine Operative

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work accurately

Proactive and motivated to build knowledge and skills in the sector

Good inspection/measuring skills and a quality-focused approach

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
