13 hours per week during term time | 10 hours per week during school holidaysAre you patient, caring and experienced in supporting children with autism and additional needs?A family in Cramlington is looking for a Support Worker to spend time with their 6-year-old son. He enjoys bubbles, balloons, sensory books, puzzles, music, swinging and ball games, and loves engaging in fun, interactive play.Initially, support will take place at home, helping him enjoy activities he loves while building confidence and developing new experiences at his own pace. As he becomes more comfortable, support will also include accompanying him on outings to places he enjoys, such as Tim Lamb Children's Centre and other community activities.What You'll Be Doing• Providing one-to-one support and supervision
• Supporting play, sensory activities and learning through fun experiences
• Assisting with personal care
• Supporting access to community activities and outings
• Assisting with morning and afternoon school runs during term time
• Promoting wellbeing, confidence and development
• Always ensuring his safety
What We're Looking For• Experience supporting children with autism and additional needs• A calm, patient and reliable approach
• Someone who enjoys engaging children through play and activities
• Good understanding of safeguarding
• A driver with access to their own vehicle and appropriate business insurance for transporting the child to activities and outings
• Availability during mornings and afternoons in term time to support with school runs
