Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading accident repair centre in Croydon, Surrey, for an experienced MET Technician. The MET Technician role is vital to maintaining the high standards of the business, and the successful individual will play a key part in delivering outstanding service to clients.

Duties:

- Removal of damaged parts for repairs, ensuring proper storage and safety

- Identifying additional damage and ordering necessary parts in collaboration with the Vehicle Damage Assessor

- Ensuring all parts are correct and available for smooth repair process

- Refitting vehicle panels with care to maintain manufacturer tolerances and prevent damage

- Replacing mechanical components, including steering, drivetrain, and engine parts

- Resetting vehicle control units using diagnostic equipment

- Maintaining health and safety standards and attending regular safety training

- Ensuring tools and equipment are correctly maintained as the MET Technician

- Supporting team activities and other reasonable duties as required

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in stripping and fitting roles

- Competence in removing and refitting vehicle panels and mechanical components

- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and resetting vehicle control units as an MET Technician

- Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a workshop environment

- Strong attention to detail and a safe working attitude

- Ability to work effectively within a team and support colleagues
