Summary

Why This Role Matters

This is a practical, delivery-focused change role supporting a complex digital transformation programme. You will work closely with project teams, operational colleagues and end users to understand how proposed changes will affect people, processes, roles and ways of working. The focus is on getting into the detail, completing robust assessments, gathering evidence, facilitating workshops and turning findings into clear, usable change actions.Rather than operating only at a strategic level, you will be visible across the programme and directly involved in preparing teams for change. You will help identify impacts, assess readiness, support training and communications activity, track adoption and make sure practical issues are addressed before implementation.

Higher Education experience is an essential requirement for this position.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Complete detailed change impact assessments across multiple work streams, covering people, process, technology, data, roles and behaviours.
  • Plan and facilitate change assessment workshops and assessment centres with stakeholders, subject-matter experts and affected teams.
  • Gather, test and document information through interviews, workshops, observation and process reviews.
  • Translate assessment findings into practical change plans, actions, ownership and priorities.
  • Map stakeholder groups and assess their level of impact, readiness, engagement and support requirements.
  • Identify training and capability needs, working with relevant teams to shape training plans, materials and delivery activity.
  • Support the creation and delivery of communications, engagement sessions, toolkits, briefing packs and local change activity.
  • Maintain change logs, impact registers, readiness assessments, adoption measures and other hands-on change management tools.
  • Track progress, dependencies, risks, resistance and adoption, escalating issues with clear evidence and recommended actions.
  • Work with project managers, business analysts, product teams and operational leads to embed changes into day-to-day working practices.
  • Support implementation, go-live and post-go-live activity, including feedback gathering, issue resolution and reinforcement.
  • Provide concise progress updates and practical insight to programme governance and senior stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong hands-on business change experience within complex transformation, systems, data or process improvement programmes.
  • Proven experience completing change impact assessments and turning findings into practical delivery plans.
  • Experience designing and facilitating workshops, assessment centres or structured assessment sessions.
  • Confidence engaging directly with end users, operational teams, subject-matter experts and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse detailed information, identify themes and communicate impacts clearly and accurately.
  • Experience supporting stakeholder engagement, communications, training, readiness and adoption activity.
  • A practical approach to managing resistance, resolving issues and helping teams adopt new ways of working.
  • Strong organisation and documentation skills, with the ability to manage activity across several work streams.
  • Working knowledge of recognised change approaches and tools, applied pragmatically rather than only at a strategic level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and project or collaboration tools.

The OpportunityThis role suits someone who enjoys being close to delivery and working directly with the people affected by change. You will have the opportunity to shape how change is understood and implemented while remaining hands-on throughout assessment, preparation, implementation and adoption. If you can combine structured analysis with credible stakeholder engagement and practical change delivery, we would like to hear from you.
