Summary
Senior Estimator
We are currently looking for a senior estimator to join a reputable specialist engineering contractor. The opportunity is to work on some of the London's most challenging and high-profile engineering projects. You can have to opportunity to work on projects up to £60 million.
The role
- Prepare estimates from drawings, specifications and tender documents.
- Calculate quantities, labour, materials and other project expenses.
- Build up rates using actual resources, productivity and material requirements rather than relying solely on historical rates.
- Work with the preconstruction team to develop competitive bids, assess value-engineering options, challenge assumptions and support commercial negotiations.
You should have:
- Experience from initial tender review through submission, award and handover.
- The ability to identify risk, opportunity and cost-saving alternatives.
- The ability to manage competing tenders, deadlines and deliverables.
- The ability to build up costs from labour, materials, productivity and methodology.
