About the role

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Sales Representative with construction/retrofit experience or knowledge to join our domestic retrofit team and help homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their properties. You will manage enquiries from initial contact through to installation, guiding customers through suitable options for Solar PV, battery storage, Air Source Heat Pumps and insulation. This role suits someone with sales experience and a background in construction, retrofit, renewable energy, or a related sector.

Key responsibilities

Manage domestic retrofit sales enquiries from initial lead through to confirmed installation.

Advise homeowners on available products and clearly explain their benefits.

Assess customer requirements, energy usage and initial property suitability, working with technical colleagues to confirm appropriate solutions.

Prepare and present accurate quotations, estimated energy savings and available finance options.

Follow up quotations, answer customer questions and convert enquiries into confirmed installations.

Maintain accurate customer records and keep the sales pipeline up to date.

Work closely with surveyors, technical teams and installation coordinators to ensure a smooth handover.

Provide ongoing customer support throughout the sales and installation process.

Work towards agreed sales targets while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Skills and experience

Some previous sales experience, ideally involving direct customer contact, quotations and follow-ups.

Some background in construction, domestic retrofit, renewable energy or a related field.

An understanding of Solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps or insulation would be advantageous.

Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information in straightforward terms.

A consultative approach, with the ability to understand customer needs and build trust.

Good organisational skills and confidence managing several enquiries at different stages.

Comfortable using customer databases, CRM systems and standard office software.

Self-motivated, proactive and willing to develop product and industry knowledge.

Direct experience selling every product is not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with relevant transferable skills and an interest in domestic energy efficiency.
