Job Description

We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Hod Carriers to join a busy construction project, supporting bricklayers with the day-to-day requirements of the job. The successful candidates will help ensure materials are readily available, allowing the bricklaying team to work efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Mixing and preparing mortar for bricklayers.

Loading, carrying and distributing bricks, blocks and other materials around site.

Operating a hod or other suitable equipment to transport materials where required.

Keeping bricklayers supplied with the materials needed to maintain productivity.

Assisting with general site duties and maintaining a clean, tidy working area.

Following manual handling procedures and all site health and safety requirements.

Working effectively alongside bricklayers and other site operatives.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Hod Carrier or in a similar construction role preferred.

Valid CSCS card.

Full PPE and a good understanding of site health and safety.

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and repetitive lifting.

Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.

A proactive attitude and willingness to support the bricklaying team.
