Summary
Veterinary Surgeon – Greenford, West London
Salary up to £75,000 (DOE)
Are you looking to join a busy veterinary hospital where you can develop your clinical skills, enjoy a varied caseload and work alongside an experienced, supportive team?
This is an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least three years’ UK experience to join an established practice, working across a main hospital site and smaller branch surgeries. You’ll enjoy the variety of a busy hospital environment alongside the autonomy of some sole-charge work, with experienced colleagues on hand to offer support and guidance when needed.
Whether you’re looking to build confidence with more complex cases or are already comfortable managing your own caseload, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to learn, share knowledge and progress your career.
Why Join?
• A varied caseload: Work within a busy hospital with plenty of opportunities to develop your medical and surgical skills.
• Supportive team: Join a team of eight vets with a range of clinical interests and experience, offering support and mentoring where needed.
• Career development: £1,500 annual CPD budget, with additional support available for those looking to work towards a certificate.
• Work-life balance: Four-day working week, a share of long weekends off and a 1:5 Saturday/weekend rota.
• No on-call: Enjoy your time away from work without an on-call commitment.
• Additional benefits: VDS cover, cost-price veterinary treatment for your own pets and the option of accommodation in a self-contained flat above the branch surgery.
About You
We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who:
• Has at least three years’ UK experience in small animal practice.
• Is confident with routine medical and surgical cases, with a willingness to develop further.
• Enjoys working as part of a team, sharing knowledge and learning from others.
• Has excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for animal care.
• Brings a positive attitude, a good sense of humour and a desire to progress.
A full UK driving licence is essential, as the role involves travelling between sites.
