Summary

Job Title: Workshop Engineer (with Warehouse Cover)

Location: Peterborough

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Workshop Pump Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for stripping and reporting on pumps, fabricating pump shrouds, carrying out cable joints, and painting pumps. they will work primarily with hand tools and operate an overhead crane within the workshop environment. Full training will be provided. There will also be a requirement to cover the warehouseman role during holidays and absences.

Key Responsibilities

• Strip down pumps, inspect components, and produce clear condition reports.

• Fabricate and assemble pump shrouds to required specifications.

• Carry out cable joins and associated electrical work on pumps.

• Prepare and paint pumps to the required finish and standard.

• Use a range of hand tools safely and effectively.

• Operate workshop crane for lifting and manoeuvring pumps and components.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.

• Provide cover for the warehouseman during holidays, sickness, and other absences (including goods in/out, stock handling, and basic warehouse duties).

• Follow all health and safety procedures and company quality standards.

• Complete any associated paperwork, reports, or documentation accurately.
