Summary

Job Title -

Site Supervisor

Salary - Up to £42,000 * plus Veolia benefits

Grade - 4.3

Location - Veolia Greenwich IWF, Nathan Way, Plumstead Marsh, Thamesmead, London, SE28 0AF

Hours - Shift 4 days on 2 days off, 07:00 to 18:30

What you'll be doing;

Ensure the operations are in compliance with the conditions of the EA Permit.

Supervision of waste operations at the HWRC, Transfer Station and RDF.

Supervision of at least 18 employees on the RDF, HWRC and Transfer Station.

Ensure the site has competent operational staff.

Lead and train by example whilst on site.

Act as deputy for the Operations Manager during annual leave or other absence.

Ensure clear communication between team members.

Build relationships with customers and colleagues.

Ensure staff are fully trained and identify areas of training needed.

Maximise and utilise the fixed and mobile plant on site.

Ensure the materials at the HWRC and the Transfer Stations are recycled and recovered as much as possible.

Ensure any defects or damages are reported.

What we are looking for;

Essential:

Health and Safety Knowledge and Experience.

Supervisory experience.

Environmental Knowledge and Experience.

Yellow Plant experience (shovel, 360)

Desirable:

CoTC (Certificate of Technical Competence) in Waste Management Operations.

IOSH.

First Aid Trained.

Experience within the waste management industry in a supervisory role, with particular experience of treatment processes, (RDF/MRF/PRF/MBT).
