  • Define scope (exclusions, assumptions, interfaces, dependencies) and coordinate decomposition into a Work Breakdown Structure.

  • Establish a robust Performance Measurement Baseline with the Integrated Project Team and manage change control.

  • Work with suppliers to integrate and analyse performance data against contractual Project Controls requirements.

  • Ensure alignment of scope, cost, risk and schedule.

  • Analyse performance data, including Earned Value Management, to enable informed decisions.

  • Work with Finance on Cost and Cash Estimate to Complete and Estimate At Complete profiles.

  • Ensure effective identification, quantification, treatment and oversight of project risk.

  • Support Project Managers in deploying resources against resource-loaded schedules.

  • Establish structured, auditable governance and assure the quality and integrity of team output.

  • Build relationships to support delivery recovery planning and communicate performance to influence stakeholders.

  • Promote lessons learned, drive process improvement, and mentor and coach team members.

Requirements

  • Proven delivery in highly regulated sectors such as defence or infrastructure.

  • Project Controls experience across a significant proportion of the project lifecycle.

  • Experience in two or more disciplines (planning and scheduling, cost estimation, cost control, risk management, performance reporting) and associated tools.

  • Good understanding of how integrated Project Controls disciplines operate.

  • Proactive, curious, comfortable with ambiguity; able to make risk-based decisions and adapt leadership style.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills.

  • Competence in required software; desire to work across sectors and clients.
