At Marlowe Kitchen Fire Suppression, we specialise in the design, installation, servicing, and maintenance of kitchen fire suppression systems for a wide range of customers across the UK, including hotels, restaurants, schools, hospitals, and commercial kitchens.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Ansul Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer to further develop their career within a specialist fire safety industry, working with industry-leading products and a diverse customer base.
About the Role
As an Ansul Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and repair of kitchen fire suppression systems, ensuring customer systems remain compliant, operational, and maintained to the highest standards.
The role is field-based and will involve travelling to customer sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays required.
Key Responsibilities
-Carry out the installation, servicing, maintenance, commissioning, and fault-finding of Ansul R102 and Piranha kitchen fire suppression systems.
-Complete system modifications, repairs, remedial works, and installation projects to ensure compliance and operational performance.
-Diagnose faults and identify effective solutions in a timely manner.
-Complete service reports, installation documentation, maintenance records, and associated paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
-Ensure all works are completed in accordance with industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures.
-Attend reactive call-outs and provide technical support when required.
-Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver a professional, customer-focused service at all times.
-Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.
-Manage your workload effectively to meet customer and business requirements.
-Support and mentor trainee engineers where required.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a customer-focused engineer with strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-Previous experience installing, servicing, maintaining, and commissioning Ansul R102 and/or Piranha kitchen fire suppression systems.
-A good understanding of kitchen fire suppression systems, their operation, installation requirements, and associated industry standards.
-Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
-Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-A practical, proactive, and hands-on approach to work.
-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality standards.
-Good organisational and time-management skills.
-A calm and professional approach when working under pressure.
-A willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home when required.
-A full UK driving licence.
