TeacherActive is currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Gedling, Nottingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive impact on their education.
Whether you are an experienced Cover Supervisor, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with experience working with young people, we would love to hear from you!
The Role Will Include:
•
Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular teacher.
•
Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged.
•
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
•
Supporting students with their learning and answering questions where appropriate.
•
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
•
Building positive relationships with staff and students.
The Successful Cover Supervisor Will Have:
•
Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
•
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
•
Confidence in leading groups of students independently.
•
A flexible, proactive and professional approach.
•
A genuine passion for supporting young people's education.
•
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
