Key Details:

Teach and assess English courses for 14-19-year-olds and adult learners.

Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, syllabuses and learning materials.

Develop engaging, student-centred teaching strategies to improve learner achievement, retention and progression.

Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback, individual support and group tutorials.

Support student admissions, enrolment, induction and progress tracking.

Develop and review the curriculum to meet national requirements and learners' needs.

Maintain accurate course records and student documentation.

Support examination registrations, assessments, submissions and external verification processes.

Work collaboratively with the Senior Curriculum Manager for English and other college colleagues.

Liaise with employers and external agencies regarding student placements and progression opportunities.

Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Follow college policies on health and safety, data protection and student welfare.

Participate in quality assurance, curriculum reviews and continuous professional development.

Contribute to the College's mission, values and strategic objectives.

Have a valid Enhanced DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
