Summary
General Maintenance Operative – Key Responsibilities
Carry out general property repairs and maintenance works.
Complete basic plumbing repairs and installations.
Undertake carpentry and joinery repairs.
Carry out painting and decorating works.
Complete minor plastering and tiling.
Replace fixtures, fittings, and household components.
Diagnose and rectify maintenance defects.
Carry planned maintenance tasks.
Assist with void property refurbishments and reinstatement works.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Follow health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and company property.
Identify and report additional repair requirements or safety concerns.
Provide professional and courteous customer service to residents and clients.
Work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and industry standards.
Maintain clean and tidy work areas at all times.
Attend training and toolbox talks as required.
Support the delivery of high-quality maintenance services across residential and commercial properties.
