Summary

We are looking for a caring and reliable Early Years Assistant to support our nursery team during lunchtime. You will help create a safe, calm and positive environment where children can enjoy their meals and social time.Hours, Salary & BenefitsHours available 7:30am - 6pm Mon - Fri, year roundContract type: 0 hour, fixed term contractSalary: Up to £15 per hourBenefits: 5% employer pensionShopping discount cardAccess to the group's counselling schemePersonal accident at work coverStaff uniform provided

Responsibilities:To plan and deliver a range of age-appropriate activities focusing on each individual child’s interests To ensure that a safe, stimulating environment is maintained for children while overseeing the implementation of activities To work alongside the staff team to ensure that the Nursery’s ethos is being fulfilled To work with all staff in promoting good staff practices across the Nursery and always ensure the safety of the children and their environment To liaise with and fully support your room leader To ensure that all child development records are updated, where applicable To discreetly attend to young children’s toileting needsTo agree to the policies and procedures and carry them out to the best of your ability To adhere to all nursery policies on safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene etc.SkillsAn excellent understanding of the EYFS curriculum Experience in planning inspiring activities for children aged 0-5 to explore and enjoy Have a completed Early Years Level qualification (Level 2 or above) (not essential)Be confident in creating a stimulating environment that enables children to become confident learners Excellent communicator with the ability to quickly build relationships with the children and their parents To read the full job description, please see candidate pack attached.
