Your new role
You will work as a Technical Architect, leading application transition, onboarding and service transformation activities within a managed service environment.The role will focus on understanding applications from both a technical and operational perspective, assessing their readiness for transition and ensuring areas such as integrations, identity and access, resilience, disaster recovery and service supportability are appropriately understood and documented.
Key responsibilities
- Lead application transition, onboarding and service transformation activities within a managed service environment.
- Assess application supportability and operational readiness against service acceptance criteria.
- Assess and document application integrations and APIs.
- Review application authentication mechanisms and service accounts.
- Assess certificates and secrets management requirements.
- Review identity and access requirements across Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Assess the use of service principals and managed identities.
- Review application resilience and disaster recovery arrangements.
- Assess backup and business continuity requirements.
- Produce clear technical documentation to support application transition and onboarding activities.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential skills and experience
- Strong experience working as a Technical Architect.
- Experience leading application transition, onboarding or service transformation activities within managed service environments.
- Strong understanding of application supportability, operational readiness and service acceptance criteria.
- Experience assessing and documenting:
- Application integrations
- APIs
- Authentication mechanisms
- Service accounts
- Certificates
- Secrets management
- Knowledge of identity and access management technologies including:
- Active Directory
- Entra ID
- Service principals
- Managed identities
- Experience undertaking resilience, disaster recovery, backup and business continuity assessments.
- BPSS required.
