We are seeking an exceptional and ambitious leader to join our Senior Leadership Team at Southwark College as

Assistant Principal - Curriculum (16-18 Lead). This is a pivotal strategic role responsible for driving outstanding educational outcomes, leading curriculum excellence, and ensuring an exceptional learner experience for our 16-18 provision.

As Assistant Principal, you will provide inspirational leadership across curriculum, quality, teaching and learning, working collaboratively with senior colleagues to deliver ambitious growth, outstanding student achievement and positive progression outcomes. You will play a key role in shaping strategy, influencing college-wide priorities, and ensuring that every learner is supported to achieve their full potential.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Reporting directly to the Principal, you will:

Lead and develop the college's 16-18 curriculum strategy and provision.

Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning and assessment.

Champion an outstanding student experience and positive learner outcomes.

Lead, develop and inspire curriculum leaders, managers and teaching staff.

Work closely with admissions, marketing and external partners to maximise recruitment and learner success.

Contribute fully to strategic planning as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Ensure effective financial, resource and people management across areas of responsibility.

Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, inclusion and high performance.
