Summary
The Stable Café is a friendly community café provided by Christchurch, Newmarket. We’re looking for a Kitchen Supervisor / Cook to lead our kitchen.
You’ll plan a good-value menu with low food waste and run the kitchen day to day. You’ll also supervise, train and support our Kitchen Assistant and volunteers. We want to keep our 5-star food hygiene rating, and we’d like your help shaping the future of The Stable. You may also be asked to do other reasonable duties.
You’ll need experience in a busy catering kitchen, team or supervisory experience, good health and safety knowledge and a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or willingness to get one). A positive, can-do attitude matters too.
The role is 30 hours a week, Tuesday to Saturday, with core hours of 10.00am to 2.30pm. The salary is £23,119 a year. Job shares are welcome: you can apply for the hours that suit you, part of the role or all of it. Hours don’t need to be split equally, and up to 32 shared hours allow time for handover. Salaries are pro rata.
