Summary

Provide day-to-day clinical care for patients admitted to the sleep unit and those on long-term ventilation Attend paediatric respiratory and sleep outpatient clinics (2 clinic sessions per week) Gain experience in the interpretation and reporting of sleep studies Participate in the non-resident (from home) on-call rota for paediatric respiratory and sleep patients Participate in the departmental audit and quality improvement programme; contribute to teaching and clinical governance activities; support research trial visits and recruitment within the sleep and respiratory departments The post holder will have access to a rich programme of educational activities including weekly respiratory seminars, a multidisciplinary paediatric sleep meeting, respiratory radiology meetings, respiratory teaching ward rounds, and PICU journal clubs. This job description may be subject to change according to the varying needs of the service. Such changes will be made after discussion between the post holder and his/her manager. All duties must be carried out under supervision or within Trust policy and procedure. You must never undertake any duties that are outside your area of skill or knowledge level.
