The Best Connection - Manchester are currently recruiting for an experienced

Class 1 Container Driver (HGV Class 1 / C+E Driver) for one of our clients based in

Trafford Park, Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced

HGV Class 1 Driver looking for

container driving work in Trafford Park, with competitive hourly pay, early morning starts and regular working hours.

Pay & Hours

  • £16.00 per hour

  • Start times between

    • 06:00 and 07:00

  • Approximately

    • 8-10 hour shifts

  • Based in

    • Trafford Park, Manchester

The Role

As a

Class 1 Container Driver, your duties will include:

  • Safe collection and delivery of containers

  • Driving an

    • HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicle

  • Completing collections and deliveries each day

  • Safely securing containers and loads

  • Carrying out appropriate vehicle checks

  • Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and professionally

  • Following all relevant

    • drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and road safety requirements

Driver Requirements

To be considered for this

Class 1 Container Driver vacancy, you will need:

  • Valid

    • Class 1 / Category C+E driving licence

  • Valid

    • Driver CPC

  • Valid

    • Digital Tachograph Card

  • Minimum

    • 2 years' commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience due to insurance requirements

  • Ideally at least

    • 1 year's container driving experience

  • Experience with containers and securing loads

  • Maximum of

    • 6 points on your driving licence

  • No major driving endorsements, including

    • IN or DR codes

  • Must be

    • 25 years of age or over due to insurance requirements

  • Good knowledge of driver hours and tachograph regulations

  • Professional and reliable approach to work
