About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client's busy operation in West Lothian EH48.
As an HGV Mechanic, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while working in the workshop.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and technical manuals to enhance skills.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant experience as a time served HGV Mechanic or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
- Relevant certifications in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
