Job Advert: Building Regulations Principal Designer
Salary: £75,000 – £80,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced
Building Regulations Principal Designer with strong knowledge of the
Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA) to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating design compliance across a range of construction projects, ensuring that relevant building regulations are met throughout the design process.
Key Responsibilities
•
Undertake the Building Regulations Principal Designer role in accordance with relevant legislation.
•
Ensure design work is planned, managed and monitored for building regulations compliance.
•
Coordinate design teams and manage regulatory risks.
•
Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
•
Advise clients and project teams on BSA requirements and dutyholder responsibilities.
•
Support Building Safety Regulator and higher-risk building requirements where applicable.
Requirements
•
Proven experience in a Building Regulations Principal Designer or related compliance role.
•
Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and building regulations dutyholder requirements.
•
Experience with design risk management and regulatory compliance documentation.
•
Excellent communication, coordination and technical review skills.
•
Relevant construction qualification or equivalent professional experience.
