About the Role

Are you a proactive, delivery-focused Product Owner with a passion for high-performing e-commerce platforms?

At VictorianPlumbing.co.uk, we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of online retail. We are looking for a Product Owner – Web Platform & Apps to drive the continuous improvement and delivery of digital experiences across our core brands, including Victorian Plumbing and MFI.

Working across our web and native mobile app platforms, you will be the crucial bridge between business ambition and technical execution. You’ll translate commercial goals into prioritised backlogs, refined user stories, and high impact releases that delight millions of customers and drive conversion.

What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver End-to-End Features: Own digital sales channel initiatives from early discovery and backlog grooming through to testing, UAT, release, and post-launch optimisation.

Bridge Business & Tech: Translate validated commercial and UX requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and clear developer tasks.

Roadmap & Backlog Management: Prioritise features and balance business value, technical complexity, and cross-team dependencies into a clear delivery roadmap.

Collaborate & Unblock: Work daily alongside developers, QA engineers, UX designers, and analytics teams to clarify goals, overcome blockers, and maintain momentum.

Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate progress, timelines, risks, and release schedules clearly to senior leadership and commercial teams.

Data-Driven Optimisation: Partner with analytics to set clear KPI benchmarks, define success metrics for every launch, and evaluate post-release performance.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Skills

eCommerce Proven Track Record: Strong experience as a Product Owner in a fast-paced, high-transaction digital/eCommerce environment spanning web and mobile apps.

Technical Confidence: Comfortable collaborating closely with engineering teams—capable of understanding and discussing APIs, backend services, data flows, and third-party integrations.

Commercial & Analytical Acumen: Experience using customer behaviour data, conversion funnel metrics, and experimentation (A/B testing) to inform roadmap priorities.

Senior Stakeholder Management: Confident communicating with senior leadership, constructively challenging assumptions, and managing expectations to reach alignment.

Personal Traits

Self-Starter & Owner: Proactive mindset with a strong delivery-first attitude and full accountability for outcomes.

Clear Communicator: A natural facilitator skilled at simplifying complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.

Organised & Multitasker: Able to juggle multiple fast-moving initiatives and manage dependencies without losing sight of the detail.

Why Join Victorian Plumbing Group?

Competitive Compensation: Up to £65,000 per annum.

Work-Life Balance: Hybrid working model (4 days in our Leyland office, 1 day WFH) with shift choice (8:30am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:00pm).

Impact at Scale: Work on high-traffic, household-name brands powering the future of home retail.

Collaborative Culture: Join a supportive, forward-thinking team committed to continuous learning, modern technology, and personal growth.

Perks & Discounts: Generous staff discounts across our brand portfolio.
