Maintenance Supervisor - Social Housing
Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Salary: £45,000 per annum
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day social housing repairs and maintenance across Wandsworth and other London locations as required.
You will manage maintenance operatives, ensure repairs are completed safely and efficiently, maintain high standards of workmanship and deliver excellent customer service to residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily social housing maintenance and repair operations.
- Manage operatives, workloads and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and Safe Systems of Work.
- Carry out site inspections and monitor the quality of completed works.
- Resolve operational issues and manage escalated repairs.
- Attend client meetings and maintain strong working relationships.
- Provide technical guidance, deliver toolbox talks and support staff development.
- Identify performance issues and implement improvements.
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience within
social housing repairs and maintenance, with strong technical knowledge and proven team management skills.
You will also have:
- Experience supervising maintenance operatives or tradespeople.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety and Safe Systems of Work.
- Relevant qualifications, such as CSCS or SSSTS.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach.
- A
full UK manual driving licence (essential) and willingness to travel across London.
